Plaster boarding / Dry Lining
Ideal application for large areas especially in the industrial field but can also be transferred to residential from boarding and skimming a new build house all the way through to repairing a small hole in a wall or ceiling.
Rendering / pebble dashing / coloured Tyrolean
For a new face on your home or building we can provide a sponge finished render which can be easily painted. We can provide a pebble dash finish with any of the following chipping finishes; Canterbury Spar, pea gravel or a stone finish of your choice. Tyrolean is a textured finished coating that is available in a variety of colours.
Skimming / Re-Skimming
This is the ideal way of modernising your home / building. For a new surface on an old wall/ceiling we can re-skim the required area to provide a new look to an old room. We also skim new work and plasterboard.
Traditional float and set
A wet plaster system which can be applied to various backgrounds from old restoration works to new build properties. This method provides a more durable traditional finish as an alternative to dry lining.
Floor screeding
For use in new buildings or simply raising the level of an existing floor surface.
Injection only or injection and re-plaster
A remedial damp proof course is the solution to rising damp. This process involves removing the affected plaster and skirting boards, installing a new chemical damp proof course and then re-plastering with salt resistant plaster. Treatment can be carried out to individual walls or full properties.
Tanking
Tanking is a waterproofing system that includes the floor and all walls within a treatment area. Two systems are available; a cementitious system or a plastic membrane system. These treatments are usually used on areas below ground level.
Dry and wet rot treatments
Dry rot treatment has to be extensive. All traces of the fungus should ideally be removed. Directly affected timbers along with those in contact with affected areas should be replaced and masonry sterilised. Sub floor areas need to be scraped and cleaned to remove any dry rot spores. Timber and mortar used for re-instatement work should also include fungicides. Any new plasterwork should be chemically modified. Ventilation should be improved where necessary and the moisture source removed. In terms of wet rot, extensive chemical treatment is not generally necessary and remedial action is directed towards removing the moisture source, improving ventilation and replacing affected timbers.
